MAKING GAME OF THRONES: CHARACTER JOURNEYS

As a part of HBO’s promotional strategy for the final season of Game of Thrones, a new feature called Character Journeys was introduced on the Making Game of Thrones blog. Five blog posts centered around some of the show’s most important and popular characters were created to offer fans the opportunity to relive the events leading up to the show’s final season. I was tasked with illustrating many of the most important moments, locations and items from the critically acclaimed show. The following illustrations were featured alongside various other forms of content to bring these stories to life.

In the weeks leading up to the release of Game of Thrones Season 7, HBO launched a promotional campaign for the show that would span all of their social platforms. I was tasked with creating graphics for the Snapchat geofilter (below) made available to those in attendance, including cast and crew, at the red carpet premiere held at the Walt Disney Concert hall in LA. This campaign also included a filter for fans to use, which was accessible only by using a unique Snapcode. In order to elevate the Game of Thrones brand, I illustrated the iconic Snapchat Ghost as the Night King for use with the code.
